Approaching the Ancient Cave

A murky inner landscape emerges out of muted scribbles. An inability to see clearly has been a predominant theme in healing old trauma. It's crucial that I feel my way into things, instead of relying upon a surface view and cursory assessment. Here a central hole or cave is demarcated by the rocky mountainous area encircling it. Old wounds are often first defined by the layers of defenses that surround them. This drawing feels reminiscent of cave paintings etched in rock. It reminds me that old trauma has a long successive lineage of ancestral underpinnings.
